Bex Bee – Bio

(for performances of original music)

From out the depths of a swampy marsh, rising through cattails and rushes, emerged some sort of sing-songy creature. Covered in duckweed, she wended through the cedar and ferns until she came upon an old dirt road, whereupon she hitch-hiked into town and attempted to live life as a human. Eventually, she learned to use the scorching sunlight as a way to grow yellow flowers and attract honey bees, who taught her most of what she knows about banjo, fiddle, guitar, and Bee. Her favorite food is still red huckleberry.

Do si do and swing like thunder – Bex & the Bees are back with a rip-roaring string band! Get ready to rock your socks off, then back on, then off again. Never danced before? No partner? No problem! Always beginner-friendly, all the moves will be taught by the caller. Duck for the oyster, dig for the clam, dive for the hole in the old tin can!
